Life comes at you fast sometimes, so there isn't a traditional meetup in Toronto, with all the people named and deals in place and all that. But all meetups don't need to be done the same way. Instead, I offer you three different ways we might meet up. I'd love to talk beer and/or baseball, Toronto!
1) Pitch Talks Toronto
Thursday, September 8th, 6pm
I'll be talking about new stats and how we're using them, and Jeff Passan from Yahoo will be talking about arm injuries and how baseball is trying to deal with them. Local writers Ben Nicholson-Smith and Shi Davidi will be there, as well as the Blue Jays' VP of Business, Andrew Miller. Should be a fun night, and if you use the code 'fangraphs' you can get $5 off the $25 price tag, and if you do, come on early. It's listed at 7pm but I'll be there at 6pm and ready to hang out with people, and down for whatever afterwards. I'll be on Pacific Standard Time!
2) Friday Baseball Game Pre-Game
BarHop, 137 Peter Street
Friday, September 9th, 5pm
I'll be at BarHop, maybe even earlier than five if I decide not to try and get any interviews at the stadium. That's two hours of pre-game fun at a bar with one of the better lists in the city. It may be crowded but tweet at me (@enosarris) or reply here, and I'll notice and try to find you.
3) Friday Night Baseball Game
Friday, September 9th, 7pm
Again, hit me up on twitter or here, and I can find you! See you soon, Toronto!
