Beer Chat -- 5/30/14

Eno Sarris, May 30, 2014 -

At the Public House last night, Alpine Duet mocked me from the beer list. But alas, they were out. Instead, I had the Almanac Ichi Beer, which tasted like an extra-hopped Japanese lager/pilsner, and was excellent. Also had the Henhouse Saison, which is fresh and bright. Went into some cask bitters after that and boy do I not like that style. Sure, the mouthfeel is great, but it's just so flat and warm and I feel like an old Englishman drowning my sorrows in the back of the pub. Hear me, I don't want to be an old man any more, as Weezer famously said. Then we found a great place near the ballpark called Garaje where they make Zapatos -- "NOT THE SHOES" -- which are basically panini-pressed burritos. They also had a great beer list and I enjoyed the superdank Double Rainbow IPA All the Way from Cismontane. I did not have a mental breakdown.
