Times are a bit tighter with the second one around, so the price of the beer matters a little more to me. Sure, I bought a Cascade Gose last week, but I'm going to slow it down (by the way, the Gose, the Blackcap, and the Sang Noir are worth it, the rest seem overpriced). Might mean fewer sours. If my bro in law loves them so much, he can get them himself.
So I got some AleSmith X. And some Port Brewing High Tide. And a case of Firestone Walker mixed -- Pivo, Pale 31, Union Jack, and DBA. Bottled 9/29/14, this is fresh. And with a taste for every occasion, I'm happy with it.
Of course, my buddy did get a growler of the last South African hopped Cellarmaker (Questionable Origins 3), so I'm pretty happy about that. And a maybe there's a package headed my way. And then we'll back up to full strength right in time for February and March beer season.
But it's always good to have the low-priced option. Gotta get price info.
